Encourage a love for aquatic activities at Brigantine Aquatic Center in Brigantine, NJ. Stanley’s Special Friends is our dedicated water safety program for children with various special needs and ASD. Our staff has over 20 years of experience teaching water safety, swimming and water exercise to children and adults with special needs.

We want to make sure we can offer your child the best support. That’s why we provide complimentary 15-minute, one-on-one in-water evaluations with our experienced swim instructors and aides. Evaluations are held on the first Sunday of every month from September to June.

Your child will enjoy the water safely

We’re dedicated to sharing our love for swimming with everyone in our community. Students aged 3 to 16 with special needs will receive four free lessons through Brigantine Aquatic Center and Green Whales, Inc. Afterward, your child will be invited to join Stanley’s Special Friends for just $40 per month, which includes one class per week.

Is your confident swimmer interested in competitive swimming? Green Whales, Inc. sponsors a Special Olympics of NJ swim team. Your child will receive stroke development and advanced training in an inclusive environment.
